Today, I went for a 15km Trail Run at Grootfontein Bike Park with my dog, Connor, a German Shorthaired Pointer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As fun as it was, we arrived around 07h40 and started running at 08h00. About 3km in, my stomach felt a bit weird, but I didn’t think much of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8km in, my stomach started with heavy cramps and then went on to feel extremely uncomfortable.  I knew what was coming, but I tried to push my body to finish and get to a loo. The finish line couldn’t come faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make matters worse, I got lost and had to call my husband to try and direct me back to the finish line. As that didn’t work due to poor signal,  he ended up coming to look for me and walk with me back. I couldn’t even go and stand for a picture, I had to run straight to the loo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from the stomach mishap, we had a wonderful race. Connor enjoyed getting out and running with me. Getting into the river, eating treats, and chasing birds in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also took our two Maltese Poodles with us today. They never come out due to their age, ability not to run, and Sammie busy going blind. Our daughter sat with them, and they enjoyed the outing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will go and run this Trail again in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
