Date: 10 February 2026
Tonight’s gym session was all about balance—moving my body, keeping the rhythm, but not pushing too hard with tomorrow’s hectic challenge ahead. I kept things light and intentional:
- Smith Machine Squats (angled): 3 sets, 50kg × 12
- Tricep Pushdowns: 5 sets, climbing from 17kg × 12 up to 20kg × 12 for the last two sets
- Pull-Ups: 5 sets of 5 reps
- GHD Machine: 2 sets of 25 reps to finish strong with abs—one of my favorite machines for building and maintaining a solid core
I deliberately held back tonight, mindful of my shoulder and the importance of recovery. But even in a lighter session, I felt proud of the consistency.

Looking Back: From Tears to Triumph
Four months ago, I could barely finish one set of triceps pushdowns. My trainer expected three, and I left the gym devastated—tears streaming in the car as I told myself I was weak, useless, and would never get there. That inner battle was brutal.
But my Husband reminded me not to be so hard on myself, to keep trying, and to trust the process. I listened. I kept showing up, adding weight little by little, and pushing through the doubt. Now, those same pushdowns feel almost effortless. What once broke me now builds me.

Why Tonight Mattered
This wasn’t about breaking records or chasing exhaustion. It was about discipline, rhythm, and honoring the journey. Even on lighter days, training keeps me grounded, keeps me moving forward, and reminds me how far I’ve come.

Motivation to Carry Forward
“Recovery is not weakness—it’s wisdom. The body grows stronger when we honor its need to rest, yet still choose movement to keep the rhythm alive.”
